Drink Me Chai - 2 lovely drinks

I had the pleasure of receiving samples of 2 drinks from http://drinkmechai.co.uk/index.html.
  • One was the Vanilla Chai which is a fragrant blend of sweetened tea, skimmed milk and creamy vanilla flavours - Oh wow... this was fantastic! I had it hot and it was divine! You can also have it chilled with ice.. which I will have to try when the summer finally arrives I think! It was so creamy and the vanilla flavour was just right. Not too strong nor too week - just perfect.
  • The second one was the Spiced Chai which is a luxurious blend of sweetened tea, skimmed milk and exotic spices. Again this was very yummy!! I had it hot which is just perfect during the cold nights that we are still getting. The blend of flavours I think is just right - refreshing and tasty all rolled into one.
The range is 99% caffeine free which makes it great for a bed time drink... looking forward to trying the other flavours out soon.. maybe you should too!

Got stains on your carpet? Review of Vanish powershot Carpet Stain Remover

I recently got sent a product from a national magazine to test and review. The product is Vanish Powershot Carpet Stain Remover.
I tried this on some very old stubborn stains on a cream carpet. I followed the instructions and sprayed the stain and left for 60 seconds and then rubbed with a clean white cloth... nothing happened. I repeated it 2 more times.. I would say the stain is less noticeable after this but still there. However I did use it on a very recent stain of some tea spillage and again I followed the instructions - sprayed and then immediately rubbed it down. This seemed to work pretty well although not 100% the first time. I repeated it again and after this second attempt the stain had pretty much gone! I would say that this product is good for new/fresh stains but not good for old/stubborn marks.
It is easy to use... in a spray can. It has quite a string odour but this doesn't linger for long. I would probably give it 7/10 for performance!

Sweets from Sweet Junkie - Retro sweets - Trip down memory lane!

Today I received some samples of  lovely sweets from www.sweetjunkie.com  Visit Sweet Junkie to find all those retro sweets that you used to have as a kid ( and as an adult!).

Kola Cubes, Pear drops, Fruit bonbons and Aniseed Balls to name but a few.

My samples included Aniseed Balls, Chewy Apple Bonbons, Liquorice Allsorts, some Barnetts hard boiled sweets, Choc Eclairs, Liquorice Wheels and something I had totally forgotten about but loved in my younger years - Liquorice Tornados! oh Yum!

Having had one each of all my samples I am a happy bunny this evening, not only have I had a trip down memory lane but I've had some tasty treats too. I went to browse the website later on www.sweetjunkie.com and was pleasantly surprised at the range of sweets available to buy. Most if not all the sweets are available to buy in weights of 100g, 200g or 1kg!

What I also love about the site is the fact that you can request a sweet. So if there is a long lost childhood sweet that you would love to be re united with why don't you give them a shout and they will see if they can source it for you (if they don't already).
